It should be educated and practiced by NGOs in every year and in front of people who lives in areas frequently striken by sand storms and who have no internet access to learn knowledge about self-aid. In it they could find 4 parts containing common sense about sand storms and nearly all emegency and preparation measures to against the effects brought by sand storm. For NGOs, they could have charity activities by teaching poor area twice a year.

Besides the services delivered in case of emergency, our APP will also provides instructions to live better by giving users with technical and biological knowledge to help them to cultivate plants in such areas. For example the APP could share various plants' caracterics, the advantages and the inconveniants of each plants ... etc.

To resume our APP is designed for helping people living in poor areas threatened by extrem events. Nowadays, with Climate Change and global warming, extrem events are more than ever unpredictable and dangerous for the poorest that's why it is important to create as many tools as possible so that everyone can be ready to act when problems occures.

Project 2: Strength In Numbers--A public welfare crowdfunding platform

Context

when? where? who? why?

Strength In Numbers is an APP that helps the poorest from climate-related extreme events through crowdfunding. NGOs can post some information related to the poorest who suffers extreme weather-climate events and declare what kind of help is needed on the platform, ordinary individual users can browse the information and then provide assistance such as donating clothes.
NGOs can use the APP to post during emergency natural disasters as well as during normal times, that is to say they can use it whenever they need to call on people to help poor people affected by extreme weather. Ordinary individual users can see and help projects that are still in fundraising status on the platform.
This APP is for the French NGOs and individual users, but the regions to be helped depend on where the NGOs on the platform are focusing on and helping.

Because many poor people have limited resources, they cannot use the Internet to ask for help, and NGOs are a solid force to help them. NGOs also need more channels to spread information about help, this APP can be a channel for them. What's more, many people want to help the poor or donate money to some people affected by natural disasters, but sometimes it's hard for them to find formal channels to do it. This APP is also a good choice for them. In a word, the APP aims to connect people who need help and those who are willing to help.

Target

for whom?

As mentioned above, the App are mainly for NGOs and individual users who want to help the poor. Their goals are the same, to protect the poorest from climate-related extreme events. NGOs could have a greater capacity to help poor people affected by extreme weather through crowdfunding, and ordinary individual users can do charity and be aware of the dangers of extreme weather through various projects.

Service offered

what? how?

For NGOs: They can publish crowdfunding projects of helping the poorest from climate-related extreme events, crowdfunding projects can be for emergency natural disasters, or for the ever-present poverty affected by extreme weather. Before publishing crowdfunding projects, they need to create accounts on the APP and upload proof information to obtain account authentication. In addition to publishing crowdfunding projects, they can also post information about their daily activities or popular science on their accounts, so that ordinary individual users can know more about them and trust them more. As for crowdfunding projects, they need to provide enough materials, such as a detailed description of the local situation, who will get help, the purpose of the collected goods or money, etc. And NGOs need to upload the progress of follow-up assistance on the APP.

For ordinary individual users: They can browse information about crowdfunding projects and donate what they can through the formal channels provided by the projects. They also need to register the account to do this, and they will earn the corresponding points every time they donate. Points can be exchanged for some things. They can also try to contact NGOs to participate in some activities as volunteers.
